Annual Awards Dinner & Meeting of the Membership

For 70 years the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce has kicked off the new year with a celebration of business at its annual meeting of the membership and awards dinner. This special event, held in March, is a casual dinner with colleague networking, a short program of chamber highlights, business recognition awards, First Citizens’ honors and more

          Title sponsor for the 2024 annual awards dinner was Cascade Community Credit Union.  Our corporate sponsors are Lone Rock Resources and Acrisure Northwest (formerly Umpqua Insurance Agency).  

         Congratulations to our honorees: Businesses of the Year–Community Cancer Center, Abby’s Legendary Pizza and Roseburg Forest Products; Business Innovation–Aviva Health; and, our 2023 First Citizens, Elin Miller and Guy Kennerly. 

Business After Hours

Business After Hours are hosted by a member business wanting to showcase their business and the products and services they have to offer. 

          This premier networking event provides an opportunity not just to learn more about the host business, but provides attendees the chance to network with other business and community leaders.

Economic Forecast

Held annually in November, the chamber’s Economic Forecast program features experts from a variety of industries relevant to Douglas County, recapping the previous year and providing economic projections for the coming year at local, state and national levels.

           The half-day event is also a great professional networking opportunity for attendees. This year, Economic Forecast 2025 will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 8:45 to 11:30 am at the Douglas County fairgrounds. Tickets will go on sale in September. 

Conversations with Our State Legislators

During Oregon’s “long” Legislative Session, the chamber regularly holds telephone and in-person meetings members of Douglas County’s state delegation. 

         These one-on-one conversations with legislators is exclusive to our members, providing a unique opportunity to hear first hand what’s happening in Salem and to discuss specific legislation of importance to the chamber and our business community.

Membership Meeting Lunches

The chamber’s monthly membership luncheons include a featured program/speaker(s) presenting a topic of relevance and interest to our local business community. A catered buffet lunch is included with the purchased ticket.

          Membership luncheons are another great opportunity to network with fellow business leaders–your future clients and customers.

Project Leadership

Project Leadership Roseburg is a professional leadership development program that also provides participants with a comprehensive education of Douglas County.

          The nine-month program shares knowledge that fosters dedication and volunteerism in our community to help create a more vibrant Douglas County.

          The chamber graduated participants from its 33rd Project Leadership program in May 2023 (see photo right)

          Project Leadership Roseburg 2023-24, began on September 14.  The chamber will begin accepting applications for 2024-25 Project Leadership in June.  Check back for more information and application links.

Chamber 101

Generally twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall, the chamber hosts Chamber 101 for new and existing members. It is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other new members and chamber staff while learning more about the chamber and the numerous opportunities it provides its membership while learning how to best maximize your chamber membership and benefits. 

Visitor Information & Relocation Requests

The Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce is a constant resource to visitors interested in spending their leisure time in Roseburg and the entire Land of Umpqua, receiving thousands of inquiries a year.

          The chamber provides information daily through telephone, face-to-face conversations, emails and mailings disseminating visitor and relocation information about our area. 

Committees, Councils & Task Forces

The Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce accomplishes many of its goals and objectives throughout the year utilizing the invaluable time, talents and dedication of member volunteers serving on chamber committees, councils team and task forces.

Ribbon Cuttings & Grand Openings

Celebrate your grand opening, groundbreaking event or ribbon cutting ceremony with the support of the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

          The chamber will provide you with a step-by-step guide to assist you in your event planning. On your company’s big day, chamber staff will bring large scissors, ribbon and chamber greeters, helping create your perfect photo opportunity!

Summer Woods Tour

When the weather, low fire potential index and industry site availability allows, the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce partners with non-profit industry associations and organizations for a woods tour that provides insight into the timber industry in Douglas County.

          The day provides a variety of tour stops of timber management on private lands, environmental protection areas, previous burn sites, active logging operations and mill operations, to name a few.
