November Membership Meeting Lunch

Oregon’s new paid family and medical leave insurance program is about to begin.  Employers and employees will begin paying into the program on January 1, 2023.  On September 3, 2023, employees can begin to apply for benefits.  What businesses are required to participate in the new program?  What are small employer responsibilities?  What is an equivalent plan?  Do employees have to participate?  These questions and more will be answered at the chamber’s November 14 membership lunch.

Presenting about “Paid Leave Oregon” will be Phillip Hudspeth, Outreach Program Analyst with the Oregon Employment Department.  Come get all the facts and information businesses will need before the program start date of January 1.  Advance ticket purchase is required.  Tickets are not sold at the door.  The November membership meeting lunch, the last one of 2022, is generously sponsored by Pacific Power.
