Annual Awards & Meeting of the Membership
For 70 years the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce has kicked off the new year with a celebration of business at its annual meeting of the membership & awards event. This special event, held in March, includes networking, a short program of chamber highlights, business recognitions, First Citizen honors and more.
On March 20, 2025, we recognized our 2024 honorees: Businesses of the Year–Girardet Wine Cellars, Sunrise Enterprises and Umpqua Dairy; and, our 2024 First Citizens, Tabbitha Layman and Dan Bain. For details, check out our press packet.
Our sponsors for the 2025 event were Lone Rock Resources and Acrisure Northwest.
The 71st annual meeting of the membership & awards lunch will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 11:45 am-1:30 pm. The chamber is accepting nomination packets for 2025 businesses of the year, business innovation, volunteer of the year and first citizen honors. Submission deadline is February 3, 2026.
Business After Hours
Business After Hours are hosted by a member business wanting to showcase their business and the products and services they have to offer.
This premier networking event provides an opportunity not just to learn more about the host business, but provides attendees the chance to network with other business and community leaders.
Economic Forecast
Held annually in November, the chamber’s Economic Forecast program features experts from a variety of industries relevant to Douglas County, recapping the previous year and providing economic projections for the coming year at local, state and national levels.
The half-day event is also a great professional networking opportunity for attendees. This year, Economic Forecast 2026 was held on Monday, November 17, 2025. Our incredible panel of presenters included Brian Rooney, Regional Economist, Oregon Employment Dept; Jason Brandt, President & CEO, Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Assn; Jeremy Rogers, Director of Legal Affairs & Public Policy, Oregon REALTORS® and John Horvick, Sr Vice President, DHM Research.
Thank you to our EF 2026 sponsors, Bowers Industrial, Inc., Hampton Inn & Suites-Roseburg, Lone Rock Resources and Roseburg Resources.
Membership Meeting Lunches
The chamber’s monthly membership luncheons include a featured program/speaker(s) presenting a topic of relevance and interest to our local business community. A catered buffet lunch is included with the purchased ticket.
Membership luncheons are another great opportunity to network with fellow business leaders–your future clients and customers.
The November 17 membership meeting, the final one for 2025, will feature a program on the state of the state’s economy, competitiveness and business climate, presented by Oregon Business & Industry (OBI) president and CEO, Angela Whilhelms. The program is generously sponsored by Pacific Power.
Project Leadership
Project Leadership Roseburg is a professional leadership development program that also provides participants with a comprehensive education of Douglas County.
The nine-month program shares knowledge that fosters dedication and volunteerism in our community to help create a more vibrant Douglas County.
The chamber celebrated our 2024-25 participants’ graduation from the leadership program at our May membership meeting lunch, the 35th year of Project Leadership Roseburg.
The chamber’s 36th year, 2025-26 Project Leadership Roseburg began on September 11, 2025. Participants will graduate from the leadership program at the chamber’s May 18, 2026 membership meeting lunch. The chamber will open applications for the 2026-27 leadership program in late May, 2026. Watch for details.
Chamber 101
Once or twice each year, generally in the spring and/or fall, the chamber hosts Chamber 101 for new members (existing members are always welcome). It is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other new members and chamber staff while learning more about the chamber, its advocacy work on behalf of businesses and the opportunities provided to our membership. New members learn how to best maximize their chamber membership.
Visitor Information & Relocation Requests
The Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce is a constant resource to visitors interested in spending their leisure time in Roseburg and the entire Land of Umpqua, receiving thousands of inquiries a year.
While there is extensive information on this website (check out the last “tab”), the chamber also provides information daily through telephone and email inquiries and fulfills visitor and relocation information requests by mailing printed materials with visitor and relocation information about our area.
Ribbon Cuttings & Grand Openings
Celebrate your grand opening, groundbreaking event or ribbon cutting ceremony with the support of the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber provides its members with a step-by-step guide to assist with the planning of your special event. On your company’s big day, chamber staff will bring large scissors, ribbon and chamber volunteers, helping create your perfect photo opportunity!
Summer Woods Tour
When the weather, low fire potential index and industry site availability allows, the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce partners with non-profit industry associations and organizations for a woods tour that provides new community business leaders with insight into the timber industry in Douglas County.
The day provides a variety of tour stops of timber management on private lands, environmental protection areas, previous burn sites, active logging operations and mill operations, to name a few.
